Konami Digital Entertainment a anunţat că va lansa în această toamnă pentru PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 
3, PlayStation 2 şi PSP Pro Evolution Soccer 2009. Printre noutăţile ce vor fi introduse se numără un mod online îmbunătăţit, o grafică mult mai avansată faţă de titlurile precedente ale seriei, noi elemente de control şi mişcări proprii fotbaliştilor.
